2012 Grille replacement

Hey everybody my 2012 XLT has standard fake chrome grille, and I'm having a really hard time finding a black replacement or even an alternate replacement. Any info on where to get new parts?

The XLT SAP (Sport Appearance Package) has a shiny black painted grille, part number 8L8Z-8200-APTM like https://www.tascaparts.com/auto-parts/2 ... panel-scat
Aftermarket ones available for around 50 bucks. I don't know what else is chrome and would no longer match, I don't know what models or trim levels have chrome insert in bumper, body painted, or silver, but looks like the Limited Appearance Package has the chrome, and XLT SAP has black, like the grille, and all else don't have the bumper insert, it is a different bumper and is all body color.

Is painting a reasonable option for these ?
I suppose it's the issue of sanding ALL it's details or having the paint rub off.....
