If we read between the line, sounds their going back but for 1.99/month
But it is only my understanding. Anyway their excuses to us are welcome.

Doesn't matter to me, I moved on to another service a long time ago, but it would be nice if all the old pictures came back, I just don't think it's possible for those (like me) who closed their Photobucket account

There is a "free" version of the site. I was able to log back into my Photobucket account and see photos. The ads aren't nearly as obnoxious as the prior PB service was.

I've gone back into my old PB account a few times the past two months,
only to transfer pix to postimage-dot-org.
PB is still very slow, and loaded with add-ons.
I've had the site lock-up my laptop every time I go back in, but
once I close my browser and re-open, it works OK but still very slow.
Post-image is nice and fast, plus easy to use.
I will not upload to PB anymore.
