Holy crap! My parents long-gone 2001 got the seat buckle repair done over 10 years ago!

Yea, it must have been one that my Mom missed while she owned it from 01-07, and then the engine blew and it sat until 2011.
So I didn't even know about it until they told me that it hadn't been done. Haha

Dropped it off at the dealer around 2pm today, and they called at 5:30pm and had it done.
I'll be picking it up tomorrow. :D

to revive this thread, I just got a recall letter today for my 01 escape. Scheduled to take it in next week for an inspection.

Question, do they just install new parts no matter what? I know several people on this thread said they passed and would be called with new parts, but did they install them?

If you need the recall done and they have parts they install them. if they dont have the parts they order them and install them later.

They called and clarified. Initially the dealer told me they would do an inspection and see if I needed the TSB replacement. They just called again today and a new girl told me that the previous girl is training and blew it when she first talked to me, as this is a required replacement no matter what. She cancelled my original appointment and told me they would order the parts, then call me to schedule the install. I guess its getting done no matter what which is nice

I had to make an appointment far enough out so that they had time to order the part. I would imagine orders are only made once they have a repair to do.

If you do your own maintenance, your first oil change after the brace is installed might be a challenge. :fan:

Just got a letter in the mail for my '01. I was actually going to stop in today anyway. Lol

Scheduled for next Friday. Subframe, brake cap and engine cover.

I don't know why the previous owner didn't do it. Young lady...that's all I'm saying.

Had them check the wife's '03 and she's all good. Hers was a HIGHLY maintained fleet vehicle. Carfax is sweet!
