2012 doors locks not functioning

Postby cockney132 - March 21st, 2019, 10:10 am

My 2012 Escape will not lock the passenger door. The lock button seems stuck unlocked (up). This cannot be pushed down (lock), the lock button on door or remote do not have any affect. Need to replace something, but what :)

Update, we think this is the "actuator" for the passenger lock? Also, my son informs me this is a 2008 Escape

Could be. I think you maybe correct. do you hear any sound from the door or see the lock plunger attempt to move on command? Which passenger door? Front or rear?

Yeah, sorry this is a 2008 Escape. It is the front passenger side lock. When i try to lock/unlock with the button, or key fob the door button stays unlocked. No movement at all, it can't be pushed down either.

Anyone know if you can print these posts?

Directions are for an 08 front handle. 09-12 are very close. No one is stopping you from printing.
