Anyone swap a gen2 rear brakes to disc instead of drum?

This comes up from time to time, and I've not read of a completed swap.
When I got the car, I was a bit confused.
I looked into it, thinking, 'wow they must have left something on the table'.
But...I've found 60-0 times for 2005ish from 125 to 163 feet.
2010, around 115-130.
I am thinking the engineers really did a job on getting the ABS right, along with the brake balance.
My time and effort went into factory pads, premium rotors, cleaned the calipers, and cleaned and adjusted the rear. Doing a quality job is probably worth the 5 feet.
The conversion could probably be done, but apparently not cheaply or easily, and not sure just how much benefit there would be.

It could be done for sure. It's a matter of time and money.

However, it would be a more aesthetic benefit than a functional one. The fronts do most of the braking anyways.

Thanks for the replies! I'm not looking for more braking but brakes that would be more durable in wet muddy conditions but its looking like its not worth the expense and work.

I agree. Although I definitely would rather look at a rotor than a drum lol.

I would think tires would play a bigger factor in those conditions than having marginally better braking.
