Rear shock (or spring) recomendations?

Hello,
The previous owner had my 2003 Escape Limited on a "low maintenance diet" during his course of ownership. Within a week, I had new brakes on all four corners, halfshafts re-booted, replaced front struts (Gabriel), upper strut mounts, lower control arms, swaybar links (all moog).
In the rear I replaced all the control arms, diff support bushings,shocks and got an alignment.
It feels great to do everything at once and not have to worry about anything else (for now). Anyways, to make a short story long, I used Gabriel Ultras (not sure of model number) for the rear shocks. IMO it rides pretty harsh now, so what have others used for a softer ride???

Understanding that it will never ride like a Cadillac, but it would be nice to not feel like the rear is about to launch us over bumps.
