I'm in the works of replacing all lights to LED and acquired a signal relay flasher to avoid the hyper-flashing error when using the turn signals but i'm unable to locate it, could someone please help me with some diagram or pic on where it might be? I've tried everything underneath the steering column but can't seem to find it. PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks for the feedback, my initial thoughts also indicated that it was controlled by the smart junction box, but it turns out there is flasher relay on the 2008-2012 Ford Escape as indicated on fordparts.com cataloge with Motocraft part no.13350(SF-631). So back to my first question, where is it located? Could someone provide the service manual or the diagrams indicating where are the relays located.

Oh, if you mean fuse it's #6 There is no relay according to my owner's manual

There are relays inside the SJB which is right behind the interior fuse panel but none are serviceable. I have the Ford 2009 Electrical Wiring Diagrams. It doesn't have a page that shows anything about the turn signal flasher. Any internal relay always has a line running to a little square marked "Logic".

This has to be one of the weirdest things in the world, as "Motorcraft SF631 Flasher Directional" is a part component to the 2009-2012 FORD ESCAPES and just to be sure I have checked everywhere to make sure of this as even stated on the www.fordparts.com. Also to point out that this is not a FUSE it's a relay in which i'm deemed to see where is it on my truck. If someone has the service manual for Ford Escape maybe it could be pointed out, cause why would Ford tell me that they sell this relay and it seems impossible to find physically. Would appreciate all the help.

Part of the confusion could be that if you have the tow package you would have a relay for TRAILER ONLY turn signals in the relay box under the hood
Nope, I dont have the tow package. Like i've said before it seems to be a flasher used in Ford Escape and it's not marked for tow but as a signal flasher. If you would google the part number I placed you would see what i mean.

According to fordparts.com, my 2008 has this mystery relay as well.

Looking in my Battery Junction Box and Smart Junction Box, there's no relay with markings 13350 or SF-631 (or -620, or -621).
Similarly, and as others have stated, the Ford 2008 Escape, Mariner Wiring Diagrams manual shows turn signals are controlled by FETs in the Smart Junction box. No relays used in the turn signal circuitry except for the tow package (and those are a different part number).
Personally, if this relay did exist, then there'd be some reference to a Ford P/N 8L8T-13350-AA. So far I can't find one.

While the 2001-2004 E's may have used this relay for the flasher, later models did not.
I think it's a simple error by Ford copied without question by the parts resellers. Then the LED flasher manufacturers use the same flawed info to cross-reference their products.

I know this doesn't answer the original question, but I don't think it possible to address the hyperflash issue without resistors (which present an equivalent to incandescent bulb load to the SJB logic) or reprogramming the SJB logic (if that's even possible).
