2011 v6 escape, will rims off a 2002 escape fit?

Postby erichlee73 - April 1st, 2021, 10:16 pm

Hoping to find some info here, I have a 2011 Ford Escape V6, and found a cheap set of wheels off a 2002 Escape that I am hoping to use for my winter tires. Will the gen 1 OEM wheels fit on my gen 2 Escape?

Thanks!

Same hub bore size, same bolt pattern, same offset (the 16x7 they both had as available have 45mm backspacing). I don't think they brakes or anything changed that would cause the 15 inch wheels to not work (2007 was the last year a 15 inch wheel was available), since the 2005-2012 use the same front rotor, but the caliper did change.

I think others have tested it and said the 15 inch rim won't fit the front calipers on the 2008-2012.

However any 16 or 17 inch should fit from 2001-2012 Escapes.
