Oil Leak

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on an oil leak that I've been having. It's in between the motor and trans and I have a picture of the said leak. Let me know what you all think. Thank you.

I has one and traced it to this part....oil control valve solenoid...the o-ring went bad. Oil leaked down the engine all over the place...drop by drop.

What year is this oil leak and part from? I have a 2012 and just noticed spots on my garage floor.

His intro post mentioned he had a 2003 Escape. Not sure if Gen 2 has similar issues.

Thanks, Charles! At least now I have something I can look for when it warms up again. I'm not sure if this is a cold weather-related seep or something that is here to stay with me.

I'm new here. I have a 2012 6 cyl. I couldn't help but register and ask if the problem here was solved to this old post.
Earlier today I took what could have been this exact picture - then I found this. I cleaned the area and started the Escape until warm and sure enough, drops from that black rubber plug to the transmission right next to the oil pan.
Before and after finding this picture and thread I have not found anything helpful.
Anyone know what this would be??, and I greatly appreciate any input and help with this!! (motor oil is obviously not the Transmission).
