My genuine imitation leather covering started to fall off over 2 years ago. The foam pad, which is the same junk they use in headliners, disintegrates. I found a nice headliner material at Jo-Ann fabrics to recover it with.
I glued 2 panels back on over the years. On the day I traded the Escape in, a third one fell off as I drove to the dealership :doh: . I'm glad the dealer didn't say anything about it. Also glad I don't have to deal with that any more...
