2010 FEH Fuel tank pressure switch?

My 2010 FEH XLT has several fault codes in the EVAP system. I changed the fuel tank purge valve and no help. I took it to a "qualified" EVAP mechanic (emission testing in SE Wisconsin requires it) and his diagnostic tool came up with the fuel tank pressure sensor was bad. He called the local Ford parts and they quoted him a price of $600 for the sensor and the mechanic wants another $300 to replace it. I know he's jacking up the prices but, I searched online and there are plenty of those sensors for the gas only Escapes but a Ford parts search turned up nothing for an FEH. Anyone out there have any suggestions? I can't get renewal tags for the Escape until it passes the emissions test.

Welcome to the city.
Never replaced it on my 09, with 200k when sold

got a salvage yard nearby? Checked ebay? There is some salvage available there.

Very likely yes — the 2010 Escape (gas) and the 2010 Escape Hybrid use the same style of fuel-tank / EVAP pressure sensor in many cases, but it’s not absolutely guaranteed without checking the exact part number or VIN fitment.

Ford’s OEM fuel-tank pressure sensor commonly sold for Escapes is listed under part number XS4Z-9C052-AA (also shown as CX2380 in some Ford parts pages). Many retailers and OEM catalogs list that sensor for 2010 Escapes.

Aftermarket / replacement part pages show several related part numbers you’ll see in cross references (examples: 9U5A-9C052-BC, 1U5Z-9C052-CA) — historically Ford used multiple similar P/N variants across model years and platforms.

Parts listings for the 2010 Escape EVAP assembly (which contains the tank pressure sensor and tubing) are often sold as an assembly (example part JL3Z-9D333-C for the evap lines + sensor on some diagrams), which means different service parts may be sold as assemblies depending on dealer/yr/trim.

Hybrid owners and techs report the same EVAP/fuel-tank pressure sensor failures/codes (P0451/P0453) and replacement procedures as gasoline Escapes — that supports the idea the component and its function are the same on both powertrains.
hope this help you

I took a look at the Ford Parts site and the number for the part you supplied didn't show that it fits a 2010 Escape Gas/Hybrid. That's my problem. If you just search for a 2010 gas or hybrid fuel tank pressure sensor, I get a "no part found" everytime. Even Rock Auto doesn't list a pressure sensor or switch. I'm going to call my local dealer and see what they say about this sensor.
