I am one of many with a blown head gasket. Ford dealer wanted close to $5000 to do a head gasket replacement. It could have been more depending on what they found once it was torn apart. It turns out that my car was one of the first to have the upgraded block from the Ford factory. Go figure It still blew at 63 thousand miles and the Ford Bulliton did not cover my car.
I could not afford the ford repair price, so I am doing it myself in my garage. It has been difficult because I'm doing everything from under the hood. One of the things I thought would never be a problem was a manual, was I wrong!
I have searched the internet and YouTube for answers to my questions and have found most of them. Now I am at the point where I am assembling everything. I used the alignment tools to keep everything timed correctly. I replaced all the stretch bolts so far. I am installing the aluminum and plastic valves, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, fuel pump etc.
does anyone have a list of torques for the assembly of everything under the hood?
