"Ford Escape" Startup Message + Ding

I searched the forum here and I couldn't really find my answer to this question.

I am wanting to change the message that comes up whenever the ford escape is started up on the control panel.
Right now it currently says "Ford Escape" I would like to change it to "Safe Travels" or something like that.

Any ideas?

Also is there any way to change the "ding" noise whenever your key is placed in the ignition etc.

Might help to know what type of sync you have. On the basic one with just the LED info screen, no.

As far as the message goes, either you cant or if you could somehow re-program that screen then maybe its possible...

Installed a new stereo in our 12 XLT non SYNC. Top always just says "Ford Escape" now. Any body know anything about the display itself?

The display (FDIM I think it's technically called) itself is what holds the message information. I'm sure it could be reprogrammed by a dealer ... but 1) You'd have a hard time finding a dealer that knows how to do it 2) You'd have a hard time getting them to do it 3) It'd be very costly for the result.
