Where are handy places to get a wire through the firewall for add-on fog lights and the like? 2012 Escape (similar to 2008-11). I'd like to see how people have done it.

Googling a bit, the main options seem to be the grommet for the hood release and the large, oblong unused grommet to the lower left of the brake master cylinder. Thoughts and experiences, anyone?
Is that the one a few inches below and to the left of the brake master cylinder, or something else?underthetire said:
I've run the wires for my amplifier, trailer wiring, and auxiliary fog lights through that grommet. That's the only really convenient firewall access I could find too.

I used the grommet that the hood release cable used. After you run the wire(s) re-seal it with silicon.
