Hey all,
So I pride myself on being a big DIY guy and keeping my fiancee's escape running. However, it seems to have this stubborn clunk in the front end that I cannot get rid of for the life of me. Anyone have any suggestions on what it could be? It occurs when going over bumps. I've also notices a very rare almost groan in the steering when turning the wheels while stopped.
I've replaced:
Lower control arms with ball joints, a bad motor mount, sway bar links, struts and strut bushings (there was a cracked bushing in one of the struts so I thought that was the source of the problem... alas it is back...)
I'd like to avoid taking it into the shop because I feel they'll probably have the same problem as me and not be able to isolate it!
Thanks in advance!
