I have a 2010 Ford escape the radio does not work nothing lights up on it the sink does not work but the controls work in my steering wheel so I still get radio what could be the issue

First thing I would try is a hard reset. Pull the radio fuse wait 60 seconds, and plug it back in. If the sync system is a separate fuse, I would do the same. You can always just disconnect the battery for a minute or two, if that is easier for you.
there are reset procedures for the head unit, like holding the power button and the fast-forward button at the same time… pressing the door lock, opening the door, pressing the lock button and closing the door...
You might be able to google that.
You can also google sync customer service, call the 800 number, and they will walk through reset procedures with you usually.
