2006 hybrid. Drove most of morning, parked, moved the car, parked and then later went back out to start it. No go. Threw the red triangle, check engine and oil lights.
Tested battery. OK.
Tried a jump. No go.
Tried to read codes. Reader would plug in and show 2 codes in the system but wouldn't let me read them.
Jump on forums and see an easy fix may be the relays (under the hood, by the brake reservoir). I replace each relay one by one with no response.
Towed to dealership last night with a diagnosis this morning. Traction battery mode door, traction battery control module, and wiring harness. None of this was preceded by the wrench light. Blend door actuator done 4 years ago.
Really disappointed to say the least. I work on my own cars and there was just no way to see this coming. No indicator, no access to read the codes. Could have happened on the interstate and it would have been way worse.
So, if you haven't replaced these items and you are over 100k, spend the money, buy the parts off ebay and do this job as preventative maintenance. You should, by now, also have done the MECS pump and check all AC lines.
If you have a no start condition like above, obviously I have noted the problem here.
