Will These Tires/Wheels Fit?

I just bought a 2005 Limited AWD.
I'd like to use this wheel/tire combination once I lift the front 1.75"
Wheels: 22" diameter x 9.5" wide with +35mm Offset
Tires: 265/35ZR22, OD=29.3", Tread Width=8.8", Section Width=10.6"
Thanks for any advice.

Those aren't going to fit in the back. The wheel won't mount because it will be hitting suspension components.

Logic: standard Escape wheel is 16x7. Offset is +40mm. 5mm is minimal and currently irrelevant. Add 2.5" to the rear of the wheel (the back, not the front which you see from the outside). Either get under the rear or lift the rear of the car. Find out what happens when the wheel is 2.5" deeper.

My Mustang wheels are 18x8 with a +40mm offset (same as standard Escape wheels) and I have maybe a 1cm or 1.5cm between the tire (235/60R18) and the closest rear suspension component. I've had half a dozen mechanics make sure I am not missing any signs of the rear tires rubbing against anything.

How about the front fitting?
Your guess is as good as mine. Those are some seriously wide wheels though. If it means anything to you: the only thing Ford has that goes 9.5" wide out of the factory is the Mustang, and that's the performance versions. The widest you'll find on most of their other vehicles is 8". Even the Taurus SHO 20" wheels are only 8" across. The Focus ST wheels might be 8" across.

Thanks, looks like 20" x 8.5" might fit better.
I believe someone installed 18x8.5 Mustang wheels (+40mm offset) and had to put spacers in the real only because of clearance. The spacers were thin, I believe 5mm or less. I'd say you either find a wheel that's smaller or is 20x8.5 but also has either a +25mm or less offset ('less' meaning you could go with a wheel with negative offset too) but do note that this means your wheel will probably stick out a cm or two from the fenders.

Good luck.
